Big Dogs Brewery is not your typical venue. When you walk in the front door we want you to feel like you are walking into our home. We have fun events on Thursday nights, with live music on Friday, Saturday & Sundays.
We have our own (brewed on premises) craft beer on tap as well as other local beers, wines, ciders and spirits, plus a coffee bar & non alcoholic beverages for our non drinkers and designated drivers.
We have a variety of food trucks that cater to our customers needs but we also invite you to bring your own snacks as well if you would like. We plan to have community Saturday night pot luck dinner once a month.
When spring comes and it’s time to open the back door to the oasis outside, we plan to have it set up to be inviting & comfortable for our guests. We have fire pits and room to dance. The outdoor area is pet friendly with doggy stations. Our venue is available to rent out for private parties & social events.
Big Dogs Brewery is open to guests 18 years of age and up & smoking is permitted outside with respect to your surrounding guests.
Our musicians are all extremely talented and play for free at our venue, so we highly encourage a $10.00 donation per person when you are coming on a live music night.
When it’s time for a break Big Dogs Brewery will always keep our community aware of closings for private events and our family vacations.
When you are looking for a place to hang, some friends to chat with or even a familiar face to enjoy a drink with…
we want our brewery to be your go to place.

T.J. & Company. Tim started his career as a NYS Trooper retiring after 31.5 years of service. He is eager to come out of retirement for this next adventure with his girlfriend Melissa and run a venue their way. The music is what brought TJ & Melissa together. They plan to create a business with the same vibe as their house concerts know as the Santiago Sanctuary

Melissa is a mother of 4 great kids Stephanie, Kenny Mary & Tristan. She is also blessed with a grandson Bryce. Melissa has been a nail technician for 25 years, owning and operating her own salon. She has worked with her family for many years running their pizzeria and started bartending a few years back. Her positive attitude and enthusiastic personality are what makes the vibe fun when she is behind the bar. It is always a good time when you get the dynamic duo together for an evening of live music & cold beverages. Melissa is excited to meet the new community surrounding their new venue.
Zeus & Althea are 1/2 Great Dane, 1/2 mastiff breeds known as (Daniffs)
These gentle giants are a huge part of our family and we’re the inspiration to our new adventure. They will make an appearance at the brewery every now and then & we look forward to many memories with these two goof balls.
The Brewery will be closed this weekend (3/21-3/24) as we continue to handle things at home with our family. As you know we have always said our family is very important to us.
On Friday 3/15/24 Tims father Rick was transported by ambulance from Virginia to our home in Walden and he is living with us as we started him with Hospice. Tim and I are caring for him 24/7 with the help of Tim’s brother Tom & his sister in law Andrea. He is comfortable and surrounded by family and we are in his final days of life.
In addition to Tims dad we are also caring for our little Miss Mary who has had a slow recovery from her emergency surgery 5 weeks ago. She had a large bowel resection caused by having her bowels twisted and a few complications along the way. Her new normal is going to be an adjustment for us all.
To say the least, we want to make sure when we open our doors back up that our family is taken care of and we can dedicate our full attention and energy to our business.
We are being optimistic and hope to open in a week or two. We miss everyone and hope we will be able to continue to operate our business as we first intended in 2023 when we opened our establishment.
The brewery has become our passion, offering a place to gather for great music, tasty beer and cocktails with a family vibe, but we know being closed has set us back.
Please know consistency is important to us & the success of our business, so we don’t want to reopen until we are able to give it our all again. Right now our minds, energy and focus is taking care of these two important people and each other. We can not get back time, so it’s important we give them the time, the care and love they deserve. We truly believe all will fall into place as it should and we plan to be transparent and keep our extended BDB family updated.
Thank you for the love, support and understanding you have given Tim & I.
The text messages and calls are so appreciated. They keep us going during the ups and downs. And thank you for the meals sent to our house as well. It has made life so much easier on us.
Again we can’t thank you enough
We love you all
Tim & Melissa
